Tailored Recommendations for Assistive Technology

Our assistive technology services begin with an initial comprehensive assessment to understand the needs and limitations of the participant. This thorough evaluation includes discussing daily activities, challenges and goals.

Based on this assessment, we identify the most suitable assistive devices, whether it's electric beds, pressure care mattresses, shower chairs or mobility aids. Our goal is to enhance the independence, safety and quality of life for the participant through personalised recommendations.

Find The Right Assistive Technology

To ensure participants find the best assistive technology solutions, we offer convenient trial options. We can either arrange a meeting at a store where the participant can try out various devices, or we can bring suppliers directly to their home.

This flexibility makes the process easier and more accessible, allowing participants to test the recommended equipment in their own environment or at a nearby location. This hands-on approach allows participants to be comfortable and confident in their choices.

Delivery & Follow-Up

Once the selected assistive technology is delivered, we provide follow-up support to ensure everything is working correctly and meeting the participants's needs. With more complex assistive devices, our occupational therapists will present upon delivery to ensure correct set-up and user confidence. Typically, we conduct a follow-up visit about a month after the equipment is delivered.

During this visit, we troubleshoot any issues, address concerns and make any necessary adjustments. This ongoing support helps participants adapt to their new devices and ensures they are getting the maximum benefit from their assistive technology.
