Capacity Assessments Tailored To Your Needs

At Life Solutions OT on the Gold Coast, we offer both face-to-face and telehealth functional capacity assessments. Our initial assessment typically involves one or two appointments where we take the time to understand your unique situation and circumstances. We use standardised assessments relevant to your disability to ensure we collect the correct evidence needed for NDIS purposes. This holistic approach allows us to identify your goals, assess any limitations in your current plan and discuss your needs and aspirations for the future.

Collaborative Planning for Optimal Outcomes

Our process is centred around collaboration with you and your support network. Once we have completed a draft of the functional capacity assessment with our recommendations, we will go through it with you and your support network to ensure everyone is on the same page.

This discussion allows us to refine the recommendations and align them with your goals before submitting the final report to the NDIS. We revisit these recommendations at the end of the process to ensure they accurately reflect your needs and aspirations.

Evidence-Based Recommendations

Our functional capacity assessments are grounded in evidence-based practices, providing comprehensive recommendations about core supports, capacity-building supports and capital supports. We produce detailed reports that inform the NDIS about what supports you require for your next plan.

These reports are crucial for your plan review meetings, offering a clear and informed basis for the support you need. Whether it's for a new plan, an early plan review or a change in your functional capacity, our assessments ensure that the NDIS has all the necessary evidence to support your needs.
